State Land Development Company Ltd. (SLDC) is a
public limited company.
The agenda of the company is proper Land Management
& Planning of the land owned by the company. SLDC acquire land for
development, allocation, sale or lease to organization for industrial,
residential, commercial or any other developments. SLDC is active in
Agricultural Sector, facilitator for Industrial Development and Warehouser of
strategic land.
Government of Mauritius and Development Bank of
Mauritius Ltd. are two shareholders of the company. The company benefits from a
number of facilities with regards to exemption of taxes and stamp duty.
SLDC has assets worth billions of rupees and its
main source of revenue is presently from production of sugar and leasing of
land for industrial development. The assets of SLDC are strategically located
in the conurbation along the Port Louis - Curepipe corridor, close to the
Capital city at La Tour Koenig and near to the Centre of the Village of Riviere
Du Rempart and Trou d'Eau Douce. The development of the assets would be
undertaken based on already prepared master plans for La Tour Koenig and
Highlands respectively.
